About the Exhibition: De onbekende middeleeuwen
The castle combines 700 years of history with modern design. Highlights include a reconstruction of a seventeenth-century bed, the room of the last resident, Baron De Woelmont, and a hall filled with shards from the moat, with pottery, glass and porcelain telling the stories of those who lived and worked here.
Visitors can try on a suit of armour in the armoury, complete with a movable metal glove, and discover how love and marriage stories link past and present. Interactive elements and ongoing research keep the presentation fresh.
