About the Exhibition: Geschiedenis van de grens
The national border runs right across the kerb of the twin villages Dinxperlo and Suderwick, and has strongly influenced life on both sides. Customs, rules, checks and smuggling all shaped daily life.
The museum, housed in an eighteenth-century building, tells stories about the origin of the border, the work of customs, the consequences of the world wars, border trade and today's cooperation between the villages.
