About the Exhibition: Jan Mankes | Het bovennatuurlijke in de natuur
Jan Mankes is known as the most tranquil painter of the Netherlands. In many of his paintings and works on paper, nature plays the leading role, rendering reality as dreamy, wistful and at times even mystical.
Museum MORE holds one of the largest and finest Mankes collections in the country, and the opening of MORE Twickel allows far more of it to be shown. It is displayed amid the nature of Landgoed Twickel, alongside special loans.
