About the Exhibition: Prins Maurits
The exhibition explains how Maurice turned the army into a well-oiled machine, with the market square of IJzendijke serving as his drilling ground. It also covers his falling out with Johan van Oldenbarnevelt and his relationships with his mistresses and the birth of his illegitimate children.
A map shows the main towns and villages in States Flanders where Maurice was present. A model of a battle and a replica of one of his coats of arms complete the display.
