About the Exhibition: Schip vol raadsels, geheimen uit het Palmhoutwrak
The wreck's finds are divided into four themes: wealth, worldly, intimate and stylish. The highlight is a fully intact silk gown, so rare that scientists call it the Night Watch of textiles, alongside a second gown that was probably a silver-embroidered wedding dress.
Visitors can admire the gown from all sides and see the second dress come back to life in an animation. Other objects include a calfskin book binding with the Stuart royal arms, a gilded silver cup, an oriental carpet, a kaftan, a toilet set, silk stockings and a red silk bodice.
