About the Exhibition: Wyschywanka – Project Hoop
It began with a meeting between German artist Angelika Schlüter and a Ukrainian woman and grew into a worldwide project. 196 women from 28 countries each embroidered their own message of hope on the same piece of fabric.
The hundreds of embroideries are brought together in 22 modules that form one large artwork. Visitors are invited to reflect on a simple question: what does hope mean to you?
