The Mining Museum of Hall in Tirol provides an insight into the history of salt extraction in Austria. It consists of recreation of the Hall valley mines, which were shot down in 1967. Galleries, shafts, tools, minerals, a chute and much more demonstrate what it was really like to go underground. The Mining Museum (opened 1928) is in the center of Hall in Tirol's Old Town, North Tyrol, Austria.
