De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig

The idea of young people as a separate group is fairly recent, even though adults have long complained about the behaviour of the young. The exhibition shows how youth culture in Zeeland developed, sometimes in step with the rest of the Netherlands and sometimes differently.

It looks at young people through the eyes of adults and their criticism, and through the eyes of young people themselves, with music, clothing and leisure as central themes. It ends with a look ahead, using ideas from pupils of the Prof. Dr. Kohnstammschool.
