A renewed collection display pays more attention to who Jan Heesters was, as a person and as an artist. He lived through two world wars, studied at renowned art academies and moved in influential artistic circles, yet his fame stayed modest, like the man himself.
Visitors step into his world, walk through his rooms and are moved by his art and story. After his death he gave house and collection to the people of Schijndel, so that it would remain a place of art.
