Prehistorische urnen komen thuis in Eibergen

Archaeologists from the RMO in Leiden excavated prehistoric urn fields during heath reclamation in Eibergen and took the urns to their museum. A century later they are back in Eibergen, thanks to the cooperation of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden.

The display builds on an earlier exhibition about the prehistoric burial mounds and urn fields in the area, for which the museum used its own rich archaeological collection. Twelve urns, bowls and small side pots, thousands of years old, travelled from the Leiden depot to Eibergen.
