About the Exhibition: De krokus wijst beton zijn grens
Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths play a leading role in many poems. Bulb plants have inspired poets all over the world, from the early history of bulb culture to the present day.
Adri van Roon collected a great many of these poems and donated them to Nationaal Museum De Zwarte Tulp, and a selection is shown here. The poems are illustrated with botanical prints from the CollectieNieuwenhuis, a collection on long-term loan to the museum.
