About the Exhibition: Klokken van de wereld

Bells are universal and belong to all eras: they warn of danger, mark the time and ring at celebrations and sad events. They are the forerunners of the newspaper, radio, telephone and social media, and are said to connect God with humans and heaven with earth.

Visitors discover the similarities and differences between the beautifully decorated pieces. Some bells are magical and drive away evil, and bells in a carillon sound like music.
