Magnum. A World of Photography — Museum Helmond
Curatorial Note
About the Exhibition: Magnum. A World of Photography
The exhibition focuses on the process rather than just the result, showing parts of the Magnum archive normally hidden from the public. From image selection and contact sheets to printing, it reveals how an iconic photograph comes into being.
More than 300 photographs and archive pieces follow Magnum's history and world events, from Second World War photo essays to portraits of Che Guevara and Muhammad Ali. At the end, three contemporary photographers reflect on the archive: Bieke Depoorter, Rafal Milach and Susan Meiselas.
