About the Exhibition: Pala - Nutmeg tales of Banda

With nutmeg as the common thread, the exhibition looks at the events of 1621 from the perspective of the Bandanese themselves, with room for the Moluccan community in the Netherlands. An editorial board of experts from academia and the Moluccan community compiled the content.

Pala, Indonesian for nutmeg, has six main themes told through vlogs, film, interviews, podcasts and longreads. A special gallery offers photography, a graphic novel and artists reflecting on the themes.
