About the Exhibition: René Ziedses Des Plantes – Het Bomige
Nature has long inspired Ziedses Des Plantes, who lives and works near the museum and also draws on treks through the Himalayas, the Alps and the Pyrenees. He is fascinated by trees that barely survive at great heights and radiate life force.
Trees return throughout his work, sometimes recognisable, sometimes reduced to forms, structures and rhythms, where organic shapes meet geometric elements. The artist will regularly be present to explain his work or play music among it.
