About the Exhibition: Van water naar land – Jan van Scorel en Pé Okx
The starting point is Jan van Scorel's ambitious plan to dike the Zijpe, a former tidal area that flooded for centuries. His original design, normally kept in the National Archives, appears alongside historic artworks, designs and monumental maps on imagination and the fight against water.
Contemporary artist Pé Okx looks at today's landscape with a poetic eye and enters into dialogue with Van Scorel. A digital experience, developed by Hypersolid with secondary school pupils, asks what influence you have on your own surroundings.
