About the Exhibition: 75 jaar Geschiedenis en Kunst
On the second floor, objects from the museum's own depot show where it all began, as a regional museum. Authentic displays bring the past to life, from a portrait gallery of the De Guasco family to a reconstructed civic guard room and a carpenter's workshop.
Visitors follow the museum's growth from its early years in Kasteel Den Halder to a full museum in the former town hall, the Oud Sjtadhoes. The story ends with a museum that is firmly rooted in Valkenburg's history and presents it with modern means.
