It is a journey through time from prehistory to the present, with material on geology, archaeology and flint, and on Valkenburg as a marl and fortress town. Themes such as Catholicism, the Geul, tourism and the Via Belgica come by.

The exhibition was designed by Paul Tieman and is described as a total work of art.
