Marijke Breuers – Sporen

Breuers explores the interplay between people and their surroundings, often as artist in residence in changing places in Europe. In abandoned houses she searches for traces of former residents and records the stories that surface in drawings and mixed media with a strong emphasis on embroidery.

Through old and new work, visitors see how she looks back on her path as an artist. Her work invites reflection on how our environment shapes us and how our choices in turn influence the world around us.
