About the Exhibition: Storyworld Spotlight: Loeki de Leeuw
Loeki de Leeuw was created to cheer up Dutch commercial breaks and became one of the most successful characters in Dutch visual culture. He was conceived and designed by puppet film producer Joop Geesink, and his daughter Louise now produces the films and thinks up the jokes.
At Storyworld, a museum about how comics, animated films and games are made, visitors discover how the films come about. Stop-motion means photographing figures and objects frame by frame with tiny changes, while the computer also has a part to play.
