Robert Zandvliet – Aan de oevers van de tijd

Zandvliet moves with a direct, convincing hand between figuration and abstraction. He debuted with monumental paintings of everyday objects such as a rear-view mirror, a cinema screen and a hairpin, whose clean lines later turned into those of a road network and a landscape.

The exhibition traces his development, opening with the hairpin from the museum's collection and ending with Arundo, a recent painting of reed tufts reflected in water.
