About the Exhibition: Jutterij

In force 7 winds or stronger, a beachcomber does not stay indoors but heads to the beach to see what has washed up. In the past people did this out of necessity, because driftwood was free building material and fuel.

Today less wood washes ashore, but there is still plenty to find. The jutterij is packed to the rafters with beach finds, and beachcombers regularly tell tales of their forays.
