Molen De Traanroeier

Curatorial Note

About the Exhibition: Molen De Traanroeier

The monument dates from 1727. Visitors can go up to the second floor, called the attic in miller's jargon, and when the millers are present also to the third floor, the stone attic.

There the enormous gears turn, driven by the sails. From wind force 5, grain can be ground, and hoisting the sacks of wheat is also done by wind power, an impressive spectacle.
