About the Exhibition: Iedereen Verzamelt – Ronde 2
The museum celebrates its anniversary with this second round, in which each collector shares objects and the personal story behind them. Collections range from first aid and PTT Post to bookmarks, Rien Poortvliet, holy water stoups and old house-painter materials, plus Haagse School paintings.
The show asks why people start collecting, what makes an object special and why we want to keep it. It fits the origins of the museum, founded by Jans Brands, who collected a wide range of objects with passion and curiosity.
